Internet Privacy

Internet Privacy Most people assume that they are surfing the internet anonymously, WRONG!!!
Your computer and your 'browser' send far more information about themselves than you know... enough, in fact to add up to a virtual 'fingerprint' which is uniquely identifiable!
First is the IP address. An IP address is unique for every internet connection it identifies the owner of the range (your ISP) and therefore your country and region. But this is nessesary, for if your computer didn't send it's IP address the web server wouldn't know where to return the page you are requesting... like subscribing to a magazine you must include your address if you want to actually recieve it...
Next we have the 'User-Agent', that is the identity of your browser, Internet Explorer, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, etc. which version, revision, update level, sub-version, plug-ins, add-ons & extras... everything!
Your computer's particulars, CPU speed, screen resolution, etc. what 'cookies' are on it already (basically, what websites you frequent).
If you don't believe me how scary is the amount of information sent to each and every single website you visit, have a look for yourself! privacy.net The information you'll see is about YOUR computer... about YOU... I'm sure you'll agree with me that it's far more information than you really want to give away to EVERY Swearing BODY!!!

Scott McNealy, CEO of Sun Microsystems once said "You have zero privacy anyway...... Get over it."
